Dear Blessed of the Lord:

COLOMBIA

We are so blessed by the hunger the people have for the Word of God in Colombia. The Pastors in Aracataca wanted a school so much they provided an air-conditioned room and food for the teachers.  Aracataca has 35 students in the Bible School.  Two teachers travel 6+ hours by bus, from Pelaya or Pailitas each week to Aracataca. While the teachers are in Aracataca they not only teach in the Bible School but do a lot of ministering in churches and to individuals. They work with the Pastors to help train and strengthen their leaders. We have 16 teachers that rotate going to the schools in Aracataca and Pailitas.

Our time in Pailitas Bible School was exciting to say the least. As the Word was being taught by Cecilia de Rios on Holy Spirit some of the students began to manifest demonic spirits, one very loudly. The anointing on the teachers is very strong and it stirs things up. The teacher finished teaching and the Cecilia, Director, and Seale and Marcia began ministering deliverance. There was a variety of manifestations from the students. After we ministered deliverance we prayed for the class to receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. Of the 23 students in the class 18 spoke in their new language. While we were in Pailitas milder manifestations continued and it was with pride we watched the teacher use wisdom in taking care of each situation as needed. In the first month of the school in Aracataca there were very similar manifestations.  This is not the normal for the schools but it was a very good experience for the teachers and a joy to see the people being set free by the Word and the anointing.

VENEZUELA

We are very proud of our leaders in Japreria. HMI presented a request to the government, along with the projection of cost etc., for help in building the Japreria Church. The people that were sent to meet with the Japreria leaders told them they would finish the church only if it would be a Catholic Church and they would participate in Catholic traditions during Holy Week. During Holy Week people have parades and carry statues of Mary.   The leaders in Japreria said they were not a Catholic Church and they would not accept their conditions. The people representing the government got mad but the Japreria leaders were not moved. The leaders of the Church are planning to go to Caracas to meet with the President.   Please continue praying for the completion of the Japreria Church.

In the month of February 16 people were bitten by snakes in the Japreria Indian Village. The people get snake bites regularly but this was an extremely high number for one month. We are very thankful we have a God that answers prayer and all are doing well. Praise God!

HMI has a birthday party for the kids in Japreria each quarter with cake and gifts. The first quarter birthday party had the kids in Japreria doing a drama. As a result of the drama 2 kids were saved

One of the leaders of the Japreria Church, a young lady that grew up in the church, had a visitation from Jesus telling her “the time was short and go and reach the harvest”.

Carmen Rodriguez, who is over the Japreria adult church, has been taking a course training her to minister on the radio. When Carmen completes her course she will be the new Director of HMI’s radio program, “Cambio de Vida”. Carmen is very excited about this opportunity and we are very blessed to have her in this position.

The Farm Churches continue to reach the harvest with 8 people saved in February and 11 in March. There are testimonies of being healed instantly when prayed for and other testimonies of how God answered prayer.

The children’s cell group had 2 saved in March and the children continue to grow in the knowledge of the Word.

Our missionary, Pastor Rafael, began a new work in the Indian Village ARAWO.   Transportation to this village is mule or donkey or feet. Pastor Rafael was the first person to minister the Gospel of Jesus Christ in this village in the mountains. The village has about 100 people in it and 39 received Jesus as their Savior. Praise God!

We thank each of you that gives financial support and/or prayer, medicine or clothes, and to those that give us encouragement. You are all precious in the sight of the Lord and we are blessed that you have joined with us in the work in Venezuela and Colombia.

It is said that a picture is worth a thousand words and we believe that a video is worth a thousand pictures. HMI is new to the production of videos but we are learning.

Phil. 4:6-7   Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God: and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
