More about Bible Schools

Harvest ministries International Bible Training Center began in 2000 with its first school located on a donated farm just outside Villa Del Rosario, Venezuela.  God gave us the vision and as we stepped out in faith HE worked many miracles to provide the provisions for His vision. The provisions He provided included:

Location:  The donation of a rundown farm that had a warehouse and a building that could be converted into a classroom.
Preparation:  Many hard working young men from the Churches in the area worked with us daily for 2 months to put the farm in order for the school to begin.  God even provided an electrical engineer to do the electrical work, a master mason to do the cement and tile work, painters to paint everything.

Curriculum:  God provided His curriculum for the school from “Victorious Living Ministries” written by Paul and Mary Birt in Kenya, Africa.

Translators:  God provided someone to translate the curriculum from English into Spanish with excellence.  God then provided translators for the teachers in the classroom.

Teachers:  God provided teachers to come from the USA to help us teach in the school.  Each teacher brought with them a very unique anointing from God to impart into the students.

Praise and Worship leaders:  From the students God blessed us all with an anointed praise and Worship leader who ushered us daily into the presence of God to begin our classes.

Students:  God provided more than we could have asked for or dreamed of.  At 43 students we began signing people up for the next class, which we planned to begin some 5 months later.

Faithful Partners:  God has blessed HMI with Partners who faithfully pray for the ministry, donate their time, and contribute financially.  None of these things would be possible without their faithfulness to God’s great commission to ALL believers in Jesus Christ.
Matt 28:19-20 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

3 John 1:5-8
Beloved, you do faithfully whatever you do for the brethren and for strangers, 6 who have borne witness of your love before the Church. If you send them forward on their journey in a manner worthy of God, you will do well, 7 because they went forth for His name’s sake, taking nothing from the Gentiles. 8 We therefore ought to receive such, that we may become fellow workers for the truth.

The Challenge: Are you a GOER or a SENDER?  Please prayerfully consider becoming a partner with us taking the glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ to the nations.
That was then this is the 2006 update

At this time HMI Bible Training Center has graduated 150 students who are equipped to hands on minister the Gospel of Jesus Christ, Salvation, Healing, and Deliverance to the people of Venezuela and any other Nation that God chooses to send them.
God has blessed us with graduates that now do most of the teaching in the Schools.

HMI provides Ministry to Indian Villages in the mountains, dairy farms in the outlying areas, Children’s Ministries, Street Crusades, and a weekly 1-hour radio program.  The graduates are given the opportunity to minister in any of these areas.  HMI has a team of 25 graduate ministers working daily in these ministries as well as their home Churches.
Colombian MIC  (Ministerio Internacional la Cosecha) School
Several years ago God gave us the vision of another Bible School in Colombia.  We have been waiting for God’s timing and in 2005 God said GO.  As we were praying, in a staff meeting, for where to start the school God gave one of our staff members the name of a city, Pelaya.
We had never heard of Pelaya, Colombia but we found it with the help of the computer.  We sent a small group to Pelaya to scout out the land.  God lead the group to a pastor who, we found out later, had been praying for 4 years for a Bible School in Pelaya.  He provided us with a place for the classroom and a place to live.
The School started in July of 2005 with 48 students.  October 29, 2005 41 of the students graduated from the first Bible school in Pelaya.  God has opened doors for Bible Schools to be started in other towns in Colombia.
God put it into the heart of one of our graduates in Pelaya to build us a house in Pelaya and to add a second floor to the house for a classroom for future schools.
The second Bible School in Pelaya began May first 2006 and graduation will be September first 2006
In June 2006 a new Bible School was started in Esperanza/Las Palmas, Colombia and graduation was held in October 2006.
HMI has a total of 63 Bible School graduates in Colombia
Graduates from the Bible Schools in Venezuela are doing most of the teaching in the second school in Pelaya.  Graduates from the first school in Pelaya are doing most of the teaching in the school in Esperanza.
God continues to open new doors of opportunity  to start more schools in other areas of Colombia.  He is putting students into the Bible Schools who have a heart to go and teach in these schools.
We invite you to become a partner with us.  Together we can fulfill the great commission.
That was 2006 this is the 2008 update:
In November 2008 HMI will have graduation for our 8th and 9th Bible School in Colombia.  One of the schools is a 2nd level school in Pelaya, Colombia and the other is a first level school in Aguachica, Colombia.  We have a director and a staff of trained teachers in Colombia that have started, administrated and taught both of these schools without our presence.  Praise God our vision of teaching faithful people that they may teach others is manifesting itself. (2 Timothy 2:2)
