APRIL & MAY 2012

                                                                                       April/May 2012

Dear Blessed of the Lord,

COLOMBIA
Youth and mothers were in the hearts of the students in Aracataca as the 4 groups separated and each group prayed to get direction for their outreach. This part of HMI Bible Training Center helps the students put into practice what they have been learning. The outreaches help them to hear from God, work in unity, and walk by faith. The students have to supply everything needed for their outreach and do all the ministering. They are great! Besides Aracataca we have a Bible School in Pailitas and Reten.

One group in Aracataca ministered to the Mothers that were being violated and forgotten. Their heart was to minister to mothers concerning them being able to have love and peace in their homes and teach them the ways the enemy attacks the family. The students believe that the mothers are the ones that hold the family together and they wanted to teach and bless them. They ministered the Word, prayed for them and gave them New Testaments, gifts and food. The mothers were strengthened by the Word and the love shown to them. The mothers realized they were not forgotten and they were not alone.

One group had in their heart to minister to mothers that had children with addictions and children that were causing difficulties in the family. They invited mothers and taught the Word, had dramas that pertained to their problems with clear answers. They also blessed the mothers with a buffet lunch and gifts. There were about 30 at this meeting and the mothers were just overwhelmed with the goodness of God toward them.

One group ministered to the youth that had problems with addictions and delinquency. They taught the youth on the unconditional love of God and ministered to them. They also had food and gave New Testaments. That night several of the youth arrived at the church with their Bibles. Hallelujah!

One group  ministered to youth that had poor values, bad communication in homes,
and hanging out with the wrong people, etc. The students recognized that this group of youth needed the love of God. They had dramas and ministered to them and gave them food and Bibles and gifts.

There were 12 people that prayed to receive Jesus as their Savior. All 4 groups were blessed by the results of the outreach. Ministry became real to each student as they experienced God as they loved on the people and saw God supply their needs for the projects when in the natural they saw no way.

VENEZUELA
There were 34 people saved in Venezuela in March and April. HMI had 15 saved at the Farm Churches, 16 at Tinacoa Indian Village, 3 in the Children’s cell Group.

Tinacoa Indian Village has been a challenge to HMI since we began going a year ago. Every place has problems but to our ministers the problems seemed greater and they were sure God did not want us to continue. We said it is not a question of what we want but what the will of God is for this season in HMI. We prayed and the Holy Spirit gave scriptures to 2 people and spoke to the others concerning His will for Tinacoa. When we finished praying everyone knew it was God’s will to continue. Their whole attitude changed and the difficulties did not seem so great. Tinacoa was no longer a place they went because Seale & Marcia wanted to go but they knew they were called to go. Just because things get difficult you don’t quit you just press closer to God and keep going until He says stop. Is it always easy? Seldom! BUT with God all things are possible.

Japreria Indian Village Churches, Farm Churches, Children’s Cell, Tinacoa Indian Village, Church of the Harvest continue to grow in the wisdom and knowledge of God and His Word.   Each place is so special to us. We see the hand of God working in the lives of the people and see the change God has made in them and we just thank God we have the opportunity to be part of it. Not only did the people in these places change but God used the things of the ministry to change us. We’re so thankful for that.

All of us are so blessed to have been called by God for His work in Venezuela and Colombia and/or other places and other ministries. It is an honor to have a part in the harvest, whether it is laboring in the fields, sowing financial seed, praying, giving medicine or clothes, or other items. It would be very sad not to be called to have a part. Thank you for being obedient to the call God has given you. We just rejoice with you in His goodness toward all of us!

Prayer Request:
1. Please pray for the elderly in Japreria Indian Village. They have basically been put out of the main village and forced to live in lean-tos and huts with very little to live with. When they get food the youth take it from them. HMI talked with the Mayor in town and he said he could do nothing since Japreria was a Nation within a Nation.

2.  The guerilla’s from Colombia are coming into the Japreria village and extorting money and things from the people.
