During the time that HMI began to minister the Gospel to them they were a nation of people who owned no land, having no food, having no homes, having no livestock, having very little clothing, being sick with no doctor or medicine, and worst of all they had no hope.  But God, by His love, His mercy, His grace, His power, His faithfulness to His promises to all people that will seek Him first, all these things are being added to them.  Abundance, more than they could ask or think.  The Nation of Japreria was given at no cost to them 7,000 acres of fertile land in the jungle.  They all have homes they have built on the land.  Their crops are so abundant that they have more than they can eat and are selling their produce to the farms and in the towns.  They have abundant livestock, cows, horses, donkeys, pigs, goats, sheep, chickens, turkeys.  God sent a medical team from the University in Maracaibo to HMI and asked us to take them to the Japreria Village so that they could spend a week with them and provide at no cost physical examinations, lab work, doctors, medicine, a dentist that not only pulled teeth but filled cavities, eye examinations and gave them glasses where needed.  Only our God can do these things in the jungle for His people.  All that HMI was asked to do was to provide electric generators and 4 wheel drive trucks to transport the doctors, equipment, medicine and supplies to the village.  God has provided poles and cables to run electricity miles into the jungle to provide electricity to the Japreria Village.  WE are now believing God will provide a water well with a pump and a water tank for the Village.  HMI has been able to provide new clothes and shoes for everyone in the Village.  We have taught reading and writing classes one day a week in the village.  There are now 20 people that can read, write, and do simple math.  We are now training a Pastor for the Church in the village.  We have established an adult church, a youth church, a children’s church, and a toddlers church all of which meet each Wednesday and are taught by graduates of the HMI Bible Training Center. 2010 UPDATE: God has continued to bless the Japreria village more abundantly than they could have ever imagined.  At no cost to the village they are building homes for each family from concrete with steel roofs, doors, windows, indoor pluming with septic tanks!  The men of the village are hired to build the houses, and new school.  The men are being paid to build their own homes and are learning construction skills.  The Japreria Church was torn down to build houses with the promise that they would build it back.  HMI has been going to the village and holding church services weekly for 2 years waiting for the new church building.  HMI has the approved drawings for the new building and the land has been assigned to us 2 different times and each time their plan has changed just as we broke ground to build the building ourselves with the men of the village providing the labor and concrete blocks.  Please agree with us that the building construction will begin before the end of the year.  If you would like to partner with HMI financially for the building please click here. The spiritual growth of the adults and of the children is a slow process because of the traditions of witchcraft which are generations old.  The teaching of the Word of God and the demonstrations of His power are a daily reminder of His love for them and it does cause change in their lives.
